Claims Management
Everest delivers claims service on its primary business either directly or through independent claims adjustment firms whose activities are managed by Everest's claims staff. This permits us to tailor claims service to the needs of the insureds in the various programs. Independent adjustment firms are chosen based on their expertise, the geographic spread of the program and the special needs of the insureds. Members of Everest's staff also handle large or complex claims and assist in product development.
Actuarial
Everest actuaries play an integral part in the product
development and maintenance process. Each Everest program receives dedicated
actuarial support, including profitability, pricing and rate analyses.
Product Development
At Everest, we consider a product anything that touches
a customer. Consequently, product development encompasses coverage, rate
plan, underwriting, claims, loss control, and distribution.
Product Development is a continuous process of monitoring the marketplace and responding
quickly and efficiently to the evolving needs of customers. We begin by
listening to those closest to the market - our Program Administrators
and retail agents - and keep a close watch on the national market and
the legislative and regulatory environments as they evolve. Ultimately,
our goal is to design products that best meet the needs of our Program
Administrators and are easy to maintain.
Marketing
Everest's professionals can assist Program Administrators with market, distribution channel, competitor and regulatory/legislative analysis; identification of targeted markets; development of product/service offerings for targeted markets; and analysis of results.
Systems
Program Administrators can use Everest's state-of-the-art systems to perform all rating, quoting and policy issuance from their offices. As part of its commitment to providing quality insurance products at a lower cost, Everest will also provide all of the necessary software and update it regularly.
Underwriting
Unlike some reinsurance carriers with primary companies, Everest's program teams are run and staffed exclusively by experienced primary insurance professionals. Each Everest program can count on service from a dedicated team with extensive experience in underwriting, rating, filing, regulatory compliance, and policy processing for primary insurance programs. Consistent with our thorough underwriting approach, we perform at least two underwriting audits and one operations audit every year on each of our programs.
Loss Control
The overriding goal of our experienced loss control
professionals is to produce measurable risk improvement results for our
customers. Our success is reflected in consistently high marks from policyholders
for the quality and responsiveness of our services. Our services are based
on the sound risk management strategies of problem identification, assessment,
and control. Once loss sources are identified and prioritized, we establish
a mutually agreeable plan of action, which is continually monitored through
regular customer contact and management reports. We also offer account
coordination services for larger, multi-location policyholders to
assure that customer needs are met. Our Loss Control professionals will
help assess and design a loss control program that meets the customer's
specific business needs. Services that are available include:
- Recommendations
- Loss Control Program Development, Review, and Audit
- Loss Analyses
- Job Hazard Analyses
- Management and Employee Training
- Construction Safety Services
